Black and White
I am part of the Dektol to Digital Generation, a group of photographers whose careers span an exciting transitional
period from photo/chemical to digital photography.
Early on, Tri-X, Dektol and Fixer stocked the darkroom. I read books and magazines. Fine Art Photography Masters worked in B&W,
they served as my guide. I drew lessons from the work of Jacob Riis, Lewis Hine, Ansel Adams, Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, and Harry Callahan. Traditions and history are important. Preserving our local “small history” creates a record for future generations.
